I agree with the article, more schools should offer ASL as an option. It's not only beneficial to the hearing students in the school, but also, D/deaf students who are mainstreamed will get benefits from this as well.
I wish my high school had offered ASL as a foreign language option. It would have been beneficial for me once I got to college.
