Tess Lakins Introduction

Hello! My name is Tess Lakin and I am a junior at EKU! I am currently in the Pre Communications Disorders program and hope to get into the actual program next semester! I am from Pikeville, Ky but I live here in Richmond with my uncle, aunt, and their daughter. I am the oldest of three children, I have two younger brothers (17 and 15) and a doggie who I love very much. I first became interested in special education and speech therapy because of my work with foster children and various other children with disabilities. I went to Pikeville High School, they really embraced their special education program and worked hard to make sure every student achieved their goals. I loved the environment and the people who made it special.
